A hand-thrown stoneware pedestal table by Gerry Newcomb, a Seattle-based artist active since the late 1960s and known for his large-scale ceramic furniture and decorative pieces.

The white stoneware base serves as a canvas for the tabletop, featuring an abstract mix of airbrushed crimson, cobalt blue, and loose black linework in the expressive style Newcomb was known for in the 1970s and 80s.

Newcomb's furniture-scale ceramic works are considered collectible pieces among studio pottery enthusiasts, and pedestals like this are rarer than his bowls or vases. Hand-signed in pencil on the underside.
